A 30 minutes away from the downtown south, Apo Golf and Country Club is a consistent venues for Philippine Golf tournaments and Asia, with an 18-hole unique features. This is one of the oldest golf courses in Davao City. It provides the magnificent view of the infamous Mt. Apo, the tallest mountain in the Philippines. Peoples Park is a must see tourist attraction in Davao. Locals go here for its magnificent scenic beauty and relaxing ambiance of its forest concept. Most visitors rush here during night time where lights will play in your eyes. When tummy craves for food there are many restaurants and fast foods nearby to choose from and are all ready to set up for you to satisfy your appetite. To name few there is Taps, Penongs, BBQ Boss and Banoks.

A caveat to the neglectful ones, this park is equipped with CCTV camera so don’t even try to molest Park.

Another means of transportation in Davao City is via Taxi. Normal rates are the following;

Taxi Plug down for non-aircon taxi is P26 plus P1 for every 250 mts. and P32 plug down is for the Aircon Taxi, plus P2 for every 250 mts.

Each taxi cab here in Davao is equipped with large size of identification card with the name and picture of the driver. It is highly required for the drivers here to secure one. Non posting of their ID in front is a warrant for reprimand by the government.

During holy week, outdoor enthusiast from all over the Philippines and even foreign hikers rush and brave the challenge and hike up to the summit of this mountain. Mt. Apo is open all year round however permit from the local government or city tourism must be secure for the safety and monitoring of the mountain. The way up to the summit requires 3-5 days hike, and along the trail luscious green and giant forest trees will feed your excitement that will drive you to ascend on top.
