It started as just a little canteen beside the family’s Pharmacy in 1964 at Magallanes St. Davao City, Jaltan now evolves into one of the biggest fast food center in Davao and has now many branches. They are famous for their original homemade ingredients of Filipino deli such as their famous Kare-Kare and other native delicacies. They serve their food in plateful generosity for very reasonable and affordable price. Visit Jaltan in Magallanes St., C.M. Recto St. and in food courts inside the malls.
Dencias
Dencias Davao is first located in Legaspi Street, in the very old building at the back of Gaisano South Mall. One of the oldest Restaurant in Davao City, Dencias Restaurant now is bigger and spacious and is placed in Gen. Luna St., to accommodate more customers. Notwithstanding of its bigger space now, still customer congest during peak hours. This restaurant is an eclectic of Chinese and Filipino delicacy. When in Dencias, try their mouth watering “tokwat baboy” and partner it with “goto”, and for sure you will be like under the hypnotic spell of its taste.
Taps
Simple and cheap fast food chain is the best way to describe TAPS. This chain is classic, it was opened in 70’s -80’s by the It opens early and close late. They are famous for their breakfast type of meal at very affordable price.
Harana
Another locally owned restaurant in Davao City is the “Harana” (serenade). The family owned restaurant started in the early 1980s and still one of the best up to this present. Serving the tastiest of Filipino food and is famous for their grilled spare ribs, grilled tuna and grilled chicken Harana is more than just a local restaurant. It had already emancipated into a must dine while in Davao. They have wide parking space and s big playground at the centre of the Harana Compound. Harana is located in Torres St. Davao City.
