The newly opened Davao Medical School Foundation is located within its school campus. DMSF is the only one that offers medical school here in Davao City. One of the oldest hospitals in Davao City is the Brokenshire Hospital. It started as a small clinic to suppress the malaria outbreak. Now the hospital grew to a state of the art hospital further BMH had grown into a 250-bed capacity hospital and one of the biggest and the best hospital in Davao City and in Mindanao.

Formerly known as the Davao Regional Hospital this government hospital is the rigid training ground for the residents and medical staff in Davao City. The Davao funded hospital admits poor patients who are residents here and to other nearby cities which makes it the busiest hospital in Davao. Sometime in early 90s’, Davao Medical Center and its mental hospital were upgraded to have 600 beds total.
